"I’m an Analyst/Programmer on the AQS Integration Team.  In this role, I work with our clients to help make AQS solutions work seamlessly with the other technology in their environment.  AQS policy administration solutions are at the core of an insurance company’s processing.  Almost every other solution they use sends transactions to the policy system, receives transaction from the policy system, or in some way relies heavily on the policy system’s data.   That’s where I come in.  I help clients to make this all work. 

Being on the Integration Team is exciting and rewarding.   Each project brings new challenges.  Working with different clients, understanding their needs, their environments, and their challenges is fascinating.   Every day is like working out a new puzzle.  It keeps it fresh.  And it’s incredibly rewarding because I know I make a difference.

 I’ve been with AQS for four years.  I started with AQS right after I got my degree in web development and programming.  My first position with the company was as an application developer where I supported one of our largest clients.    One of the things I like best about AQS is the opportunity for growth.  I’ve had the chance to develop my technical, business, and industry skills.    I’ve learned so much about application development.  I’ve come to understand how to work with clients to understand their needs and meet their expectations.   And I’ve developed an appreciation for our clients’ industry and what it takes to be successful.

 AQS has a great team of people who work together, support each other, and make a difference for our clients.    One thing I never want is to be pigeon-holed.  I appreciate the support I’ve had of my managers over the years, helping me to grow and achieve my goals.  I’d recommend AQS to anyone looking for an opportunity to continually grow and the chance to do a variety of jobs and tasks.

“I work as a Quality Assurance Lead.  My role is to guarantee that our clients get only the highest quality deliverables.  Communication is core to successful quality outcomes.   I work closely with clients and   delivery teams to make certain that expectations are understood and requirements met.   The work is challenging.  I perform end-to-end tests of policy transactions,  conduct regression testing to ensure that no unexpected outcomes occur as a result of system changes, assess questions and concerns, track and report on production deployment status, and resolve customer-facing issues.

I joined the AQS team 4 years ago as senior Quality Analyst because I was looking to apply my skills in an industry and an environment where I knew I could grow and have an exciting career.  I appreciate that my opinions are valued.  AQS has always encouraged me to develop and implement new ideas.   I find it rewarding to help others and mentor team members in QA testing methodologies.  Over time, together, we’ve developed an extensive portfolio of test plans and test cases.   By leveraging these, we’re able to efficiently and effectively run extensive tests in order to deliver quality.

I really enjoy working for AQS, we have very talented individuals who share and apply their expertise and as a team we all work together like a family. Working closely with clients and solving their day to day challenges has always kept me focused.  It’s improved my technical skills and critical thinking.   I also love the AQS tradition of encouraging and helping the employees with the flexibility of work hours.  I’ve even worked from India at times so I could extend my visits with my family.   Anyone looking for an exciting career with a company that cares will find it here at AQS.”
